LYCIAN WAY TURKEY
Lycian Way Turkey which has one of the most beautiful views in the world, reaches far from our borders and attracts great interest from many local and foreign tourists every year.
The Lycians were able to connect the cities they founded throughout their history dating back to the 15th century BC by this road. There are important ancient cities such as Letoon and Xantos on the route.
The Lycian Way lies between Muğla’s Köyceğiz Lake in the west, Burdur’s Gölhisar district in the north, and Antalya in the east.
With the semi-autonomous model of the Lycians at every stop; They made money through piracy, mercenary service and seafaring. The shuttling between these semi-autonomous regions has left us this ancient road.
The 540-kilometer walking path between Fethiye and Antalya, which wraps around the Lycian coast, is ready to generously share a piece of paradise of the Mediterranean with you, while immersing you in its rich cultural heritage. I only had the opportunity to experience the Lycian Way walk, which I had been planning to do for many years, in the summer of last year.
Of course, you don’t have to travel the whole route. If you want, you can create a Lycian Way route with a tour or with sections from Fethiye or Antalya that you deem appropriate.
We create a Lycian Way guided or self guided tours for you.
